Asombro educators deliver fun, hands-on science lessons to K-12 students in Las Cruces and southern New Mexico in their classrooms, schoolyards and on field trips at the Chihuahuan Desert Nature Park. Volunteers assist educators by working with small groups of students, answering student questions, and passing out and setting up lesson materials. Every day looks different, we may have three one-hour programs scheduled back-to-back in an elementary school, a full day in a middle school science classroom, or a four-hour field trip. Volunteers can pick their favorite setting and age group to work with.
