We have a few openings for meal delivery on Thanksgiving morning. ONEgeneration delivers to over 500 homebound seniors every weekday. On Thanksgiving our regular meal drivers have the day off to spend with their families.
If you would like to delivery meals to about 8-10 seniors on Thanksgiving morning please respond to this posting or email volunteer@onegeneration.org. Meal Delivery takes about 90 minutes or 2 hours if you have talkative seniors. Volunteers do not enter the home, the meals are given at the door.
If you are interested in helping an older adult Thanksgiving morning please let us know which location works best for you:
Location 1 - 17400 Victory Blvd in Van Nuys/Lake Balboa (between White Oak and Balboa), meal pick up is 9:30 to 10:15am
Location 2 - 8956 Vanalden Ave in Northridge, meal pick-up is 8:45am to 9:30am

Founded in 1978, ONEgeneration is a multi-faceted service agency that works to improve the lives of seniors, children and their caregivers. Throughout its existence, ONEgeneration has been dedicated to maintaining and restoring the independence and quality of life of older persons. As the agency grew, so did the mission and goals. ONEgeneration now provides a solid educational and social foundation for young children. ONEgeneration Daycare is the care industryâ s premier intergenerational shared site program. It is on the vanguard of a growing movement to provide shared site child care and senior care, thereby delivering real benefits to families, students and the entire community.
