Description
Hope for Youth - Uganda (H4YU) is registered in Uganda as a local NGO operating in rural communities of Nama and Kyampisi sub-counties.
We aim at empowering and creating opportunities for young people and women to live a lifelong commitment to active citizenship through education and self-help projects.
Started with seven (7) children and two teachers under a tree, H4YU project now cares for and educates over 200 community children between 5-13 years in our Hope for Youth Primary School. Education is a basic Human Right to which these children would otherwise not have access.
H4YU basically has six (6) thematic interventional areas with an overarching arm of providing quality education and health improvement.
1. Children/Youth Education.
2. Youth Programs, including Sports, Music and Performances.
3. Health and Nutrition:
4. "You Matter" girls only Program that brings teen school girls and community young women/mothers together to share their dreams and challenges.
5. Water and Sanitation Services:
6. Self-Sustenance Projects including a poultry, a piggery, goats and growing of food crops.
H4YU continues to enjoy significant growth since inception, working in partnership with local community members/leaders and district authorities.
Come, volunteer with us for a life changing experience.
