We are looking for assistance from December 1st to December 20th to help us Set Up, Sort, Pack, Distribute and put away our Angel Tree Toy shop! We need helpers to come just a few hours a day (not every day) to assist where a helping hand is needed. The timeframe varies but mornings are high priority with a start time of 10 am with the exception of distribution days where help is needed starting at 8 am. On distribution days the helper will act as a chaperone for each person and assist them as they collect their bags and toy shop. If anyone is interested please reach out - we appreciate all the help that comes to our door!

Mission Statement

The mission of The Salvation Army is to meet human needs wherever they may be, without discrimination.

Description

The Salvation Army is serving more people in need and delivering the broadest array of services than any other not-for-profit organization in Chicagoland. The Salvation Army is making an impact every day in three key areas of critical importance and concern to people across Chicagoland -- Homelessness, Violence and Education. And, The Salvation Army is delivering the most critical services -- food, shelter, emergency assistance and disaster relief.

In communities throughout Chicago and the surrounding five-county area, we extend emergency and supportive assistance from 28 corps community centers, 80 service extension units, the Emergency Disaster Services Center, residential programs, mobile units, and several counseling sites.
