As a TIBS Ambassador, you’ll play a pivotal role in spreading the word, rallying support, and amplifying our mission to empower leaders of color, create inclusive educational environments, and bring high-quality education to every child. You’ll be joining an exclusive group of changemakers who are dedicated to making this vision a reality. Whether you’re an educator, community leader, parent, or advocate for educational equity, your voice will help bring critical attention to this transformative mission.

About the TIBS Ambassador Program:

The TIBS Ambassador Program is a powerful, advocacy-focused initiative that empowers passionate leaders to spread the word about TIBS and drive support for our HHiT goal. Our aim? To establish 100 high-performing schools in TEN years that serve as models of educational excellence and equity. As a TIBS Ambassador, you’ll be part of an extraordinary mission to create schools led by exceptional, equity-focused leaders who will inspire generations of students.

Ambassador Roles and Responsibilities:

As a TIBS Ambassador, you’ll be the heart of our advocacy efforts, helping raise awareness, build community, and increase TIBS’s impact through the HiT goal. Here’s what you’ll do:

1. Spread the Word:

  • Share TIBS’s Mission on Social Media: Regularly post about TIBS’s mission, the HHiT goal, and our events on social media using #BetterSchoolsForAll, #HHiT100, and other TIBS hashtags.

  • Be a Storyteller: Share personal stories, testimonials, and powerful moments from TIBS’s programs to inspire your network to join our cause.

  • Highlight the Impact of TIBS Programs: Showcase the achievements of our Underrepresented Leaders of Color (UnLoC) Fellows, our work in partner schools, and the progress toward reaching the HHiT goal.

2. Engage Your Community:

  • Host Community Info Sessions: Host a gathering (in-person or virtual) to educate friends, family, or colleagues on TIBS’s mission and the impact of the HiT goal.

  • Attend and Promote TIBS Events: Join TIBS events, workshops, and webinars, and encourage others to participate and support our initiatives.

  • Collaborate with Local Organizations: Partner with community organizations that share TIBS’s values to broaden our reach and strengthen support for our HHiT mission.

3. Fundraise and Advocate:

  • Lead a Personal Fundraising Campaign: Set a fundraising goal (e.g., $500 - $1,000) to support TIBS’s programs and help fuel the HiT goal. We’ll provide resources, templates, and tips for success.

  • Engage in Advocacy Efforts: Participate in educational equity campaigns to amplify TIBS’s voice in the public sphere.

  • Seek Sponsorships and Partnerships: Identify potential sponsors in your community who may want to support TIBS financially or through other contributions.

4. Stay Informed and Connected:

  • Monthly Ambassador Meetings: Join our virtual meetings to stay updated on TIBS’s work, learn about new initiatives, and connect with other Ambassadors.

  • Training and Development: Attend an initial Ambassador training and participate in ongoing sessions to strengthen your skills as an advocate for TIBS.

  • Provide Feedback: Share insights from your outreach efforts to help TIBS continually improve our programs and enhance our impact.

We’re looking for individuals who are:

  • Passionate About Education: Dedicated to creating high-performing, equitable schools and motivated to make a meaningful impact.

  • Strong Communicators: Skilled at sharing TIBS’s mission with others, both online and in person.

  • Connected and Engaged: Active in their communities and enthusiastic about amplifying TIBS’s work through personal networks.

  • Committed and Reliable: Willing to dedicate 2-4 hours per month to fulfilling Ambassador responsibilities and engaging with TIBS’s ongoing work.
