Emergency Energy is seeking for a graphic designer to covert concepts and ideas and create visual representations, in both print and electronic media. The candidate will have expert knowledge of current design software and skills in design process, from concept to final deliverable as well as a thorough understanding of branding and marketing. Collaborating with multiple teams across the organisation, the graphic designer will gather ideas, both written or spoken and convert them into a design that connects with organisations targeted audience.

Responsibilities

a. Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various software programs to visualize and develop innovative graphic designs that meet the organisation objectives and goals.

b. Obtain input from other organisations staff to ensure that designs meet organizational standards and brand expectations, express ideas accurately, and represent the organisations or beneficiaries appropriately.

c. Work independently as well as cooperatively with the communications and social media team to ensure that high quality graphical impacts and appeals designs are delivered on time.

d. Update and maintain internal databases for designs, photography, and video

e. Collaborate, brainstorm, and strategize with other Emergency Energy and partners staff on a wide range of materials that may include web pages, presentations, programming collateral, newsletters, and marketing materials

f. Translate organisations documents into high-quality designs within an established brand identity.

g. Develop concepts by hand or with software, and execute original content by determining the ideal usage of colour, text, font style, imagery, and layout

h. Manage the design and uploading process for all project materials, based on best practices for using a content management system

i. Use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets when designing and executing specific classifications
