Description
Impacta Mexico is a non-profit organization based in Michoacán, Mexico, dedicated to creating impactful volunteer experiences. Since 2022, we have welcomed over one hundred young volunteers from around twenty different nationalities to our region, allowing them to make a difference by assisting as English teaching aides or instructors in local technological high schools for a two-month period.
Our programs offer a complete package for volunteers, providing them with meaningful roles in the educational sector, and accommodations at our hostel, which includes ten rooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, and shared bathrooms. Volunteers also enjoy a daily lunch, as well as access to a variety of cultural activities such as dance lessons, participation in local and national events like Day of the Dead, and various sports and recreational activities.
Our objective is to empower both volunteers and local students through shared learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom.
We aim to bridge cultural divides and foster mutual understanding, creating a supportive environment where volunteers can make a tangible difference while immersing themselves in Mexican culture. By strengthening English language skills and providing mentorship, we contribute to the educational growth of Michoacán's youth, opening up pathways for future opportunities. Each volunteer experience is designed to be sustainable, meaningful, and deeply connected to the needs of the community, ensuring a lasting positive impact for all involved
