Tax time
Tax time can be intimidating--help low income residents get refunds that they deserve!

Lakes & Pines Community Action Council, Inc. is seeking volunteers willing to assist low-income families and households in preparing their income taxes during the tax season.

There are multiple proposed sites where taxes will be prepared for free: all in east central Minnesota, Kanabec, Pine, Chisago, Isanti, Mille Lacs, Aitkin and Carlton counties. Tax preparation may also be complete virtually by certified volunteers.

No experience is needed, we will train you.

This is a great opportunity to give back to your community because most people you will be helping are eligible for refunds. Their tax returns bring thousands of dollars back into the community and help individual households and the local economy.
