ORGANIZATION: Special Olympics North Carolina
Please visit the new page to apply.
We need volunteers to call and announce games at our Special Olympics NC Fall Tournament, coming up November 22 and 23.
If you have experience offering play-by-play (or color) commentary for sporting events, we need your help announcing schedules and games at any of the 7 sports Special Olympics in which athletes from all over the state will be competing. Sports and venues include:
- Golf at the Charles T. Myers Golf Course
- Bocce at the UNCC Northeast Recreational Field Complex
- Cycling at the Charlotte Police and Fire Training Academy
- Soccer and Softball at Frank Liske Park in Concord
- Tennis at Hornet's Nest Park
- Roller Skating at Frye's Roller Rink in Concord
Special Olympics NC helps over 45,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities learn, build self-confidence, and achieve through athletic training and competition. If you are in the area, have a few hours to spare, and love being the voice of the game, join us!
Special Olympics NC will provide a volunteer t-shirt and lunch to volunteers who are volunteering for 5 or more hours.
