Program & Communications Manager create, implement and oversee communications programs, be it internal or external, that effectively describe and promote the organization and its services. He/She will work closely with Head office staff under the supervision of the Country Director to support the work of the International Program Coordinator. The Program & Communications Manager will also provide corporate communications, marketing, and process engineering consultation support to include communications/marketing strategy development.
As a Program & Communications Manager, you will be in charge of marketing and recruitment activities, nurture leads, follow through on inquiries, inform and recruit participants for our volunteer/internship program.
You will be responsible for program applications, pre-arrival preparations, and coordinate with the Operations and Tour Officer.
You should be an exceptional individual, self-driven, self-accountable, highly motivated, with good morals and be able to single-handedly plan, produce and execute recruitment programs both online and offline.
This position is meant for a strong entrepreneurial spirited individual.
This is a program/marketing, lead nurture and communications position. You should have experience in developing relationships, recruiting and marketing to a wide range of audiences including academic institutions, students, career breakers and professionals in order to support the work of our International Program Coordinator.
You should be a multi-skilled go-getter who can produce results as part of a team or on individual assignments with minimal supervision.
The Responsibilities:
- Lead generation, nurturing and closing
- Manage all communication processes from reservation to in-country arrival with program participants
- Content creation (you must be an exceptional writer)
- Give presentations of the program or attend career/recruitment fairs to schools and universities to promote Volunteer Liberia programs with supervision of the International Program Coordinator
- Create and present program webinars
- Drive recruitment by eliminating obstacles and objections of participants
- Grow and nurture existing connections with educational institutions
- Travel abroad with volunteer groups to coordinate their trip in conjunction with our local staff
- Will work with International Program Coordinator to write partnership proposals to high schools, Universities, companies, associations throughout the United States or Europe
- Plan and manage info sessions
- Attend university and industry fairs
- Work with International Program build recruitment programs both offline and online
- Importantly - You should be Tech Savvy and have a heart for Travel, Service Learning and Working internationally
Requirements:
- Be passionate about travelling, volunteering and working programs abroad
- Youthful Mentality - you must enjoy working with teams, young adults and parents
- Ability to work independently to set and achieve goals and meet deadlines
- Outgoing, passionate & positive attitude
- Leadership experience
- University degree preferred
- Volunteer abroad experiences preferred
