Position Summary
Use your financial expertise to help Season to Soar maintain fiscal health and stability as a volunteer Budget and Fundraising Treasurer. You’ll play a vital role in managing the budget and financial policies, supporting our mission to equip underserved youth with the resources needed to succeed.
Essential Functions
Manage the organization's budget, oversee accounting, and develop financial policies.
Serve as the organization’s financial advisor, providing insights for fiscal stability.
Lead monthly financial reviews with the Board of Directors and assist in budget preparation.
Oversee resource allocation to support program initiatives effectively.
Education & Experience
Strong background in finance, accounting, or budget management, ideally within a nonprofit context. Experience with financial statement analysis, policy development, and strategic resource allocation. Ability to present complex financial information clearly and collaborate effectively with Board members and team leaders. CPA or similar credentials are beneficial but not required; previous Board experience is a plus.
Additional Requirements
Must successfully pass a general background check, including a local and state criminal history check. Requires a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements
· Requires the ability to exert light physical effort in sedentary to light work. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of light objects (5-10 pounds) may be needed.
· Extended Keyboard Use: Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
Sensory Requirements
· Some tasks require the ability to discern visual and audio cues for effective communication.
· Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, particularly in discussions with committee members and the Advisory Board.
Environmental Exposures
· Essential functions are typically performed in standard indoor environments with no significant exposure to adverse conditions.
Estimated Time Commitment
· Estimated to be 2 hours per week and term length is one year.
