Your time can mean everything to an individual who needs blood! Help be part of saving millions of lives each year by assisting as a Blood Donor Ambassador and serving as the face of the American Red Cross for individuals donating the ultimate life-saving element.

Volunteer as a Blood Donor Ambassador and discover a new purpose as a member of a lifesaving team to help support blood collections in your neighborhood.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Willingness to support the Red Cross Mission
  • Donor receptionists welcome donors, help check in donors, distribute required reading material, and maintain a smooth donor flow
  • Offer refreshments to donors, alert the collection staff if a donor needs assistance, and thank the donor for their donation
  • Ensures donors have a positive experience

Time Commitment: Red Cross Blood Donor Ambassadors will typically fulfill a 4-6 hour shift, depending on the event. It is preferred that all volunteers serve for a minimum of 3 to 6 months.
