This role will help to lead a fundraiser in their area to raise awareness for PROJECT BLACKBIRD and the program that we bring around. This fundraiser can be through Groupraise, or an independently run fundraiser!

Goals of the fundraiser:

  • We set a goal of 1K raised, but we are happy to just have awareness of the mission!
  • Connecting to the community to help reach schools in the area, and bring this program and free resources
  • spreading awareness for the cause - engaging the community and encouraging them to participate in the #ShedShame mission

What this role may entail:

  • finding a venue on Groupraise, or self-planning with local venues
  • Building a flyer and materials to pass out/post. We will post on our end as well and help with outreach!
  • Inviting local community members
  • possible print outs of our journal prompts or other materials desired (we can shape this together!)
  • pictures/videos from the event
  • having fun!! :)
  • We would love to keep in tough following the event to bring the program to your school/community and have you be a partner for helping us shape this!
