Are you passionate about racial justice and interested in making a meaningful impact in your community? Austin NOW is looking for a dedicated Racial Justice Data and Reporting Officer to join our dynamic team!
Position Title:
Racial Justice Data and Reporting Officer
Commitment:
5-10 hours per month, with flexibility and remote options available.
Role Overview:
As the Data and Reporting Officer for the Racial Justice Committee, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate records, tracking progress of committee initiatives, and preparing monthly reports for the Committee Lead. This position is crucial in ensuring our advocacy efforts are data-driven and transparent.
Key Responsibilities:
- Data Management: Collect and organize data related to racial justice initiatives, including community outreach, event participation, and advocacy results.
- Progress Tracking: Monitor and update the status of ongoing projects, identifying areas for improvement and helping the team stay on target.
- Reporting: Compile monthly progress reports for the Committee Lead, including data insights and recommendations for future action.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other committee members and provide data support for cross-committee projects and advocacy campaigns.
- Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of meetings, events, and key metrics to support effective planning and evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Experience with data management tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Excel, or similar platforms).
- Excellent written communication skills.
- A commitment to racial justice and a passion for advocacy work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
