Mission Statement
The mission of the American Cancer Society is to improve the lives of people with cancer and their families through advocacy, research, and patient support, to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.
Description
For more than 10 decades, the American Cancer Society (ACS) has been dedicated to pursuing better outcomes for every cancer, every life. Today, more people are surviving cancer than ever before, but there is still work to be done. Join us, support us, and help us end cancer as we know it, for everyone.
GenNow Network (formerly YPACS) is a volunteer group of the next generation of philanthropists assisting ACS in saving and celebrating lives, and leading the fight for a world without cancer. GenNow Network empowers and engages emerging leaders to network and build relationships while spreading awareness about early detection and prevention of cancer, as well as the need to support cancer patients and their families through ACS programs like the 30+ Hope Lodges throughout the country, Road to Recovery, and National Cancer Information Center.
