About Greater Erie Area Habitat for Humanity

Location:

4922 Pittsburgh Ave, Erie, PA 16509, US

Mission Statement

Greater Erie Area Habitat for Humanity seeks to improve our community by making ownership of decent, affordable housing possible, in partnership with responsible families who lack the resources to obtain homes through a traditional mortgage lender.

Description

The Greater Erie Area Habitat for Humanity was incorporated in 1989 as an affiliate, and we completed our first house in 1991. Since then, we have completed 77 new home build and 12 home renovations, providing more than 250 children and adults with safe, decent, affordable housing. Habitat for Humanity partners with families to work toward homeownership. Habitat then sells the homes we build to the family at zero percent interest and zero profit.
