ACTING WITH YOUNG STORYTELLERS
Have you ever wanted to play a witch, a talking dog, and a lollipop queen all in one day? In our elementary school programs, 5th grade students learn how to tell stories and create scripts with the help of volunteer mentors.
At the end of the program, we gather the students and their friends together for a very special live performance - the Big Show. These scripts are performed at in-school assembly and we’re asking you to join us in bringing these scripts to life on stage!
THE DETAILS
A one-day two hour commitment onsite
No props or memorization required!
Theater or improv experience preferred
ABOUT YOUNG STORYTELLERS
Young Storytellers sparks creative self-discovery through storytelling. Our programs highlight young people as the center of their own narratives, emphasize that their stories matter, and celebrate their unique voices as the ones telling them. Young Storytellers works towards a future where young people experience the impact that their thoughts, feelings, and words can have on the world in which they live.

Mission Statement
Young Storytellers sparks creative self-discovery through storytelling. Our programs highlight young people as the center of their own narratives, emphasize that their stories matter, and celebrate their unique voices as the ones telling them. Young Storytellers works towards a future where young people experience, through the stories they write, the impact that their thoughts, feelings, and words can have on the world in which they live. We raise voices, one story at a time.
Description
In elementary school, Young Storytellers uses storytelling to help young people explore their creativity and imagination. In middle school, we use storytelling to explore their goals for the future and what challenges might stand in their way. In high school, we use storytelling to explore the impact their voice can have in their community - and, more broadly, the world.
