Opportunity To Serve: 2024 Thanksgiving Dinner Box Tuesday November 26th.
Family Values For Life is excited for our annual Thanksgiving Dinner Box event. The dinner box typically includes items for a traditional Thanksgiving feast! Our community families who have registered will be able to pick up Tuesday, November 26th at First Covenant Church of St Paul, as well as at High Praise Church in Minneapolis.
Last year we served 249 families (of five/5). This year we are on track to surpass last year's number of families by more than 50 families located in (but not limited to) East St. Paul. We want to extend an offer to our community connectors, partners, friends, and families to join in and share in this opportunity. Below are a few ways you can serve with us:
Be a volunteer: We have a full day of volunteer opportunities. Shifts begin Tuesday November 26th from 8:00am to 3pm at First Covenant Church, and from TIME - TIME at High Praise Church. We will need help with Packing & Sorting, Greeting & Distributing, and Set up & Clean up. Click the link to volunteer: https://forms.gle/ tJSJwGz32hE8FRYU8
Sponsor a family: $75 per family will feed a family of 5. This can be donated via check, online, or via gift cards. (Target, Walmart, Cub Food, Aldi). If you choose to donate this way feel free to arrange a drop off time. Click the link to sponsor: paypal.com/donate/? hosted_button_id=Q5USALPTHVZKY
All donations are tax deductible. Please fill out the attached in kind donation form and return to isabel@familyvaluesforlife. org. You can also call our office at 651-774-6663.
Thank you in advance for your support and feel free to share this opportunity with your networks! Your generosity makes a positive difference in the lives of the families we serve!
Sincerely the Family Values Team!

Mission Statement
Family Values for Life works with families to help them chart a path out of crisis through spiritual empowerment, mental alertness, physical fitness, and financial stability. Together we build capacities for families to network and leverage resources within their community. Strong healthy families cultivate secure communities.
Description
Driven by our mission, Family Values for Life provides programs and services to build holistic family stability for the BIPOC families we serve.
Our target population is low-income single-parent families living in East Side neighborhoods of Saint Paul. 70-80% of the families we serve are low-income. 90% of Family Values for Life program participants are people of color and 80% of regular participants are African American. 70% of our families are headed by single moms.
Family Values for Life is a multi-program human service agency helping families move from crisis to stability by addressing four "pillars" of wellbeing: spiritual, mental, physical, and financial.
Integrated programs reach more than 5,000 people per year and include crisis financial assistance, food shelf and basic needs support, skill-building workshops for single parents, grief and trauma support, family coaching and case management, community referrals, after-school family meals and homework help, targeted reading support for elementary students, mentoring, and summer camps.
