We would love to talk to you about an exciting volunteer opportunity! The Tampa Bay Affiliate of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) is looking to fill our PanCAN PurpleStride Chair position.

In this role, you will oversee the fundraising and event experience for our local fundraising walk, PanCAN PurpleStride Tampa Bay. This role will also recruit other volunteers and lead a committee in charge of executing a positive and memorable experience for participants. The ideal volunteer for this role has excellent project management skills and a passion for leadership!

PanCAN volunteers raise funds and awareness year-round to support research and clinical initiatives, patient services, advocacy, and community engagement work. Our volunteers support us in a number of capacities, including social media, public awareness campaigns, fundraising, event planning, and government advocacy. The opportunities are endless.

We need you because pancreatic cancer has the highest mortality rate of all major cancers; the five-year survival rate is only 13%. It is currently the third leading cause of all cancer-related death in the US. We need people like you to help us create a world where all patients with pancreatic cancer will thrive.
