Position Overview
As a Volunteer Curriculum Developer for the Tax Project Institute dedicated to civic education and government financial literacy, you’ll play a central role in educating the public on tax-related topics, including taxpayer contributions, government spending, and the effectiveness of federal and local programs. This position involves designing a comprehensive educational curriculum and online resources that engage diverse audiences in understanding the importance of taxes and government transparency.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Development: Design and develop a structured civic education curriculum tailored for an online learning environment, covering key topics such as tax contributions, public spending, and government efficiency.
Content Creation: Utilize multimedia skills, including video production and editing, to create engaging, interactive, and accessible content. Work with graphics and visual storytelling to translate complex information into understandable formats.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration: Implement and manage the curriculum within an LMS, ensuring a smooth learning experience for participants.
Scheduling and Coordination: Organize course schedules and launch dates, coordinate resources, and collaborate with other team members to ensure timely content delivery.
Outreach and Promotion: Develop and implement strategies for promoting courses, leveraging social media and online platforms to reach a broader audience.
Collaboration and Resource Management: Identify and integrate supplementary educational resources, collaborating with experts to provide accurate and relevant information.
Skills and Qualifications
Media and Technology Proficiency: Experience with video production, digital content creation, and LMS platforms.
Communication and Outreach: Strong social media and online marketing skills to promote courses effectively.
