Become a steward of the Mt Tamalpais Watershed by spending more time on the mountain! This fall Marin Water and One Tam are offering great programs on the third Saturday of every month. In the morning, volunteer to flex your muscles and restore habitat by removing invasive French broom. In the afternoon, join our guided walk to talk about the biodiversity of Marin and how we can all protect our natural resources.
The Habitat Restoration event is from 9-12 and the Guided Nature Walk is from 1-3. You may participate in one or both of these events on the same day. Sites may include Lake Lagunitas, Phoenix Lake and Rock Spring.
Registration is encouraged but not required. The event is family-friendly! Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by an adult and volunteers under age 18 must bring a permission form signed by a parent or guardian. Tools, gloves, snacks and water are provided. Please dress for variable weather and bring a personal water bottle. We welcome the rain and will only cancel if extreme winds, heavy downpour, or a red flag warning is expected!
