The KeelWorks Foundation is dedicated to getting people to work. We’ve been doing this for 16 years and helped thousands. We are now building a comprehensive program to help the most challenged unemployed get to work.

The KeelWorks Foundation leverages the Google Workspace to manage email, file servers, and virtual collaboration. There is considerable power in this system that is not being utilized. The foundation needs a systems analyst and site reliability engineer to learn the system and leverage its power to support foundation operations. There is a team environment and we expect this to be a team approach. If you are a qualified Google Workspace professional, you can lead that team. If we don't recruit that, we'll need to do this by committee and we'll need resourceful researchers and problem-solvers.

The person for this job might be retired, an exceptional recent grad, or a group of volunteers working as a team.

This position is unpaid, largely asynchronous, and virtual. Participating with the foundation allows participants to add experience to their resume as if it were a job. We help with resumes and portfolios for those desiring this help.

About KeelWorks Foundation

Location:

2398 WEST BEACH RD, OAK HARBOR, WA 98277, US

Mission Statement

To support a better world with better citizens by fostering learning competence, emotional intelligence, and networked intelligence. KeelWorks especially wishes to bring greater participation to the economically disadvantaged across the globe. We are building a system to support upward mobility.

Description

KeelWorks is a 501c3 foundation. Since 2008 hundreds of graduate students and unemployed workers, reached gainful employment while helping KeelWorks build structure for change. We want to end poverty across the world, changing one life at a time. The KeelWings program for recent students and the KeelMate program for transitioning workers apply their learning while gaining experience supporting the KeelMaster program development. This experience reflected in a competent resume - with our guidance - qualifies them as a credible job applicant. The KeelMaster program is designed to support employment for the more challenged unemployed. This program begins with barrier identification and mitigation, assigns participants facilitated teams where they learn core competencies, ending with goal determination. They access training, and while doing so, join paid internships. Mutual support, core competencies, application, and clear and objective progress metrics support measured results. This structure for change will be replicated over and over across the globe. While other programs give the needy fish, we teach teach them to fish.
