Help build a new home for a single mother 3 in beautiful Tahlequah, Oklahoma. Visit our many Cherokee museums and Hunter's Home Living History Museum. Consider staying on the Northeastern State University campus in the Wesley Foundation student building with a large living room, two private sleeping rooms for men and women, a shower and kitchen. OR stay at First United Methodist Church's gymnasium which boasts a commercial kitchen and 2 large rooms with cots available. Please be prepared to bring your own bedding, toiletries and towels. We provide the evening meal on workdays.
How it works: Gather a group of five or more students (chaperones over 25 are welcome, too) and choose a Habitat location (in this case, Oklahoma). For one week, you will partake in the Habitat mission of building homes and changing lives.

Mission Statement
Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. We partner with people in your community and all over the world to help them build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With your support, Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and for their families. Through our work, we strive to achieve our vision of a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
