**Hairstylist Volunteer for Hospice Patients**
We are looking for compassionate, skilled hairstylists to offer comfort and dignity to hospice patients by providing simple, calming hair services. Many hospice patients are facing significant challenges, and a fresh haircut or hairstyle can offer a moment of joy and normalcy during a difficult time. As a volunteer hairstylist, you will have the opportunity to create a peaceful and uplifting environment for patients through personal grooming.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide basic haircuts, trims, and styles for hospice patients, based on their comfort and preferences.
- Ensure a gentle, calming atmosphere during each appointment, understanding that some patients may have limited mobility or energy.
- Work collaboratively with hospice staff to ensure the patient’s care plan is followed and that the process is as comfortable as possible.
- Treat each patient with dignity, respect, and empathy, maintaining confidentiality and sensitivity at all times.
**Ideal Volunteers:**
- Licensed hairstylists with experience in cutting and styling hair.
- Patient, empathetic, and comfortable working with individuals who may have limited mobility or cognitive challenges.
- Willingness to provide a kind and supportive presence for patients and their families during a challenging time.
This volunteer position is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by bringing small moments of comfort, confidence, and peace to individuals in hospice care. Your kindness and expertise will bring great value to their well-being.
