Interested in making a positive impact on the community that will last years? Sign-up to join the Community Forestry team to plant over 40 native trees and add to the urban tree canopy to the Geisse Soccer Complex! Thanks to your participation, the trees you plant will bring the benefits of cleaner air, carbon mitigation, and stormwater retention to Indianapolis communities. The tree planting demonstration will begin at 2:05pm the latest, please be sure to arrive to find parking ahead of the start time to ensure you learn how to properly plant a tree.
Are you new to planting trees or do you need a refresher? Check out this great video on How to Plant a Tree!
Safety: We highly recommend wearing weather-appropriate clothing and close-toed shoes. We always recommend bringing a reusable bottle for water but we will have disposable cups available if needed. KIB will provide tools and gloves.
Parking and Facilities: TBD. Please check back for important parking updates!
*While we love group attendance at volunteer projects, all participants in a group must be registered individually.*
