Rocky Mountain National Park Winter Snow Play Area Support

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Rocky Mountain National Park is looking to recruit additional volunteers to support our winter operations at Hidden Valley Snow Play Area. Volunteers at Hidden Valley educate visitors on sled hill etiquette and provide safety information for backcountry skiers and front-country sledders. Volunteers should expect to work alongside another volunteer or ranger and communicate with park visitors frequently.

Volunteers will be provided a uniform but are expected to supply items such as base layers, winter footwear, and gloves. Volunteers should be comfortable working in potentially adverse weather conditions and high-altitude environments above 9,000 feet.

You will be asked to commit to a weekly or bi-monthly shift. If you are unable to make your shift, you may contact another volunteer to cover your shift for you. Available shifts are on weekends from 10:00am-3:00pm, although some weekday shifts may be available, especially around winter holidays with high visitation rates.

In your application, please indicate the days of the week that you are available. In your application, please describe your experience working with people and with winter recreation in Rocky Mountain National Park. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
