Volunteer Opportunity with GG & POP Institute: Supporting Art, Community, and Cultural Engagement

GG & POP Institute is seeking committed volunteers to support its community-focused mission of fostering creativity, cultural connection, and artistic growth. As a key cultural organization, GG & POP Institute runs a variety of programs and events that invite the local community to experience art in meaningful ways, connecting with both contemporary issues and traditional craft practices.

About GG & POP Institute and Its Initiatives

GG & POP Institute’s work extends across various creative initiatives, bringing art, dialogue, and social engagement together under one roof. Among these programs are the Oasis Workshops, a new hands-on series that brings participants into the world of traditional and contemporary craft, and the Artist-in-Residence Program, which invites accomplished artists to contribute to GG & POP Institute’s mission. This year, we welcome artist Kevin Kedroe, whose work bridges craft, sustainability, and cultural exploration, adding a dynamic layer to our offerings.

Volunteer Role

The administrative volunteer role will support GG & POP Institute’s operations, assisting in the overall running of the organization and contributing to the success of programs like the Oasis Workshops and the residency program. Your role will be integral to ensuring that GG & POP Institute’s mission reaches and resonates with the community.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in participant registration, track payments, and maintain attendance records for events and workshops
  • Coordinate with GG & POP Institute’s general operations team to manage schedules, set up, and takedown for various events
  • Support GG & POP Institute’s outreach efforts to engage community partners and foster connections
  • Place orders and manage supplies for workshops and events
  • Provide additional support for special projects, including the Oasis Workshops and residency program, as needed

This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of GG & POP Institute’s vital work in the community, supporting a range of artistic and cultural programs that make a meaningful impact.
