ORGANIZATION: BATTLE GROUND HEALTHCARE

Are you fluent in Spanish and passionate about helping your community? Join us at our free clinic as a Volunteer Spanish Voicemail Interpreter! In this important role, you will assist our team by checking and interpreting voicemail messages left by Spanish-speaking patients. Your contributions will help ensure that all patients receive the care and support they need.

Responsibilities:

  • Check the clinic's Spanish voicemail regularly.
  • Interpret and transcribe voicemail messages for clinic staff.
  • Assist in communicating patient needs and questions to our healthcare team.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Spanish (spoken and written) is required.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Time Commitment:

  • Flexible schedule; we ask for a minimum of three days a week, with each day taking approximately 30-45 minutes.

The mission of Battle Ground HealthCare is to bring health, hope, and healing to our community.

Description

Battle Ground HealthCare (BGHC) is non-profit, free clinic, that provides medical, dental, physical rehabilitation, lifestyle classes and other healthcare services free of charge. We serve people who are uninsured, under-insured and at 300% or below the Federal Poverty Level.

BGHC believes improved health and quality of life are best achieved by meeting physical, mental, and emotional needs. BGHC is predominantly a volunteer clinic; our 200 plus volunteers include doctors, nurses, dentists, dental assistants, dental hygienist, dietitians, physical therapists, and mental health professionals. In our nine years we have cared for more than 4,000 individual patients and provided over 3,868 visits.

Battle Ground HealthCare does not charge for services or receive any federal funding for operations. The clinic is able to provide services because of the generosity of volunteer providers, grants and individual donations.
