Role Description:

Motley Zoo Animal Rescue is seeking enthusiastic Fundraising Volunteers to support our "Rock the Rescue" Virtual 5K Race. This role is essential in helping us reach our goal of raising $100,000 to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need. As a Fundraising Volunteer, you'll engage your network and the community to generate support for our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop Fundraising Strategies:

  • Create personalized fundraising plans to reach individual or team goals.
  • Identify creative ways to engage potential donors (e.g., virtual events, social media campaigns).

• Engage with Your Network:

  • Reach out to friends, family, colleagues, and community members to solicit donations.
  • Share your passion for animal welfare and Motley Zoo's mission.

• Utilize Fundraising Platforms:

  • Set up and personalize your fundraising page on our event platform.
  • Share updates and stories to encourage ongoing support.

• Promote the Event:

  • Spread awareness about the "Rock the Rescue" Virtual 5K Race.
  • Encourage others to participate or support the cause.

• Collaborate with the Team:

  • Attend virtual meetings or training sessions as needed.
  • Share successful strategies and ideas with fellow volunteers.

Qualifications:

• Passion for Animal Welfare:

  • A strong commitment to Motley Zoo's mission and values.

• Excellent Communication Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate with potential donors both verbally and in writing.

• Motivated and Goal-Oriented:

  • Self-driven with the ability to set and achieve fundraising targets.

• Experience in Fundraising or Sales (Preferred but Not Required):

  • Prior experience is a plus but not essential; we welcome enthusiastic newcomers.

• Comfortable Using Technology:

  • Familiarity with social media platforms and online fundraising tools.
