IterateUX is an inclusive, community-based non-profit organization dedicated to supporting User Experience designers-students and professionals alike-around the world. We provide world-class, hands-on learning programs that enhance hard and soft skills in the design field. These programs promote critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity. Driven by designers for designers, we offer a flexible platform for learning UX research, UX and UI design, user-centered design skills, as well as leadership, collaboration, and presentation skills.

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive volunteer Accountant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

- Work closely with the bookkeeper to ensure accurate and timely financial recording and reporting.

  • Assist in tracking financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and maintaining the accuracy of our QuickBooks system.
  • Provide support in the preparation and filing of taxes for the year 2024, ensuring compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with the founder to discuss the process and strategies for the upcoming tax period and other financial planning initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or/and CPA.
  • Previous experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations of CRA
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Proactive: Ability to take initiative and anticipate needs, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Analytical Thinking: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate financial information effectively.
  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
