Keep Soddy-Daisy Beautiful is a community-driven nonprofit dedicated to supporting and enhancing our community through local engagement, education, and action. Our initiatives include community cleanups, tree planting, recycling events, public art projects, and educational programs.
Opportunity DescriptionWe're seeking passionate individuals to join our Board of Directors who want to make a positive impact in Soddy-Daisy. As a board member, you'll help guide our organization's mission to improve the quality of life in our community.
What You'll Do- Provide strategic guidance for our community improvement programs
- Participate in quarterly board meetings
- Serve on at least one committee (Art, Beautification, Events, Litter & Recycling, Trees, Education, or Fundraising)
- Help with fundraising activities
- Act as an ambassador for our organization
We're looking for board members who:
- Live or work in North Hamilton County (preferred)
- Can commit 4-6 hours monthly
- Bring valuable skills or community connections
- Have a passion for community improvement

Mission Statement
Keep Soddy-Daisy Beautiful is a Community Beautification and Improvement Project (CBAIP). We are a community driven organization whose goal is to help support and improve our community and the surrounding area. Our Goals: ENGAGE: Bring the community together with events and activities like the Soddy-Daisy Farmers Market, Arbor Day celebration and Fall Festival. EDUCATE: Provide opportunities for the community to learn about topics including gardening, recycling, and composting, as well as tree selection, planting and care. PROTECT: Collaborate with community organizations and city government to protect our beautiful waterways and woodlands. Help create and operate a Tree Board for the City. SUPPORT: Fundraise for beautification projects in Soddy-Daisy and the surrounding areas, with a focus on public parks and recreation areas. IMPROVE: Help beautify and improve our community through litter cleanups, and business beautification initiatives like the Mural Project.
