Our Mission: Through our Neighborhood Tutoring Program (NTP), FLOC provides free tutoring for students in grades 2-12 in Washington, DC to achieve grade-level competency in Reading and Math through one-on-one intervention and a structured, step-by-step curriculum.
Our Volunteers: FLOC Tutors enhance self-esteem, encourage independence, and empower perseverance. We will equip you with the training and materials needed to provide the direct educational support that helps students gain at least one grade level in Reading, Math, or both! Our staff members are available to assist you throughout each session and outside of program hours.
Dates: October 2024 to June 2025
- Aligns with the DC school year.
- Break between semesters.
- Some sessions are canceled for holidays.
Available Tutoring Times:
- Monday: 6:00-8:00 pm
- Tuesday: 6:00-8:00 pm
- Wednesday: 6:00-8:00 pm
- Thursday: 6:00-8:00 pm
