Location: Independent Living Senior Residence

Duties: Senior and Pet Photos with Santa Event

Description: We are seeking cheerful and compassionate volunteers to assist Santa Claus in creating memorable holiday moments for the residents. Volunteers will help facilitate photo sessions with Santa and residents and their beloved pets. This role is perfect for those who enjoy spreading holiday cheer, love animals, and are comfortable working with seniors.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with setting up and organizing the photo area, including props and decor, to create a festive atmosphere.
• Assist residents in preparing for photos with Santa and their pets, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and at ease.
• Support the photographer by helping residents and pets into place for photos.
• Help with pet handling if needed, creating a safe and enjoyable environment for both pets and their owners.
• Maintain a positive, friendly, and respectful demeanor with all residents, pets, and staff.
• Assist with set breakdown at end of event.
• Provide actor with support.

Requirements:

• Warm and approachable personality, with a love for the holiday season, animals, and seniors.
• Comfortable working with pets and able to assist in handling them as necessary.
• Ability to stand and move around for extended periods during the event.
• Must complete a background check, as this role involves working with a vulnerable population.

Time Commitment:

• One-day event on December 11, 2024.
• Shifts are flexible, and volunteers will be scheduled for a few hours at a time.
