Becoming a friendly-visitor (for Springwell Elder Services)an elder at home or at a senior facility in Brookline. Flexible hours (typically an hour or so per week). Spend time talking with and listening to an isolated adult. Possibly take them out on occasion.
Join the Springwell team as a Friendly Visitor in Brookline by connecting with an isolated older adult living in their home. Visits can be via phone or in-person. Engage in conversation, share stories, interests, hobbies, and make a real difference in the life of a member of your community!
Other towns served include Belmont, Brookline, Needham, Newton, Waltham, Watertown, Wellesley and Weston.

Norfolk County RSVP has volunteer opportunities for people aged 55 & over in 28 cities and towns at over 50 volunteer sites. Volunteer opportunities include mentoring pre-release inmates, tutoring elementary school children, drivers for Veterans, meals on wheels and food pantires, friendly visiting, non-profit support services and many more! N.C. RSVP will find the volunteer opportunity that best fits your interests & schedule and impacts the needs that are most critical to our county's communities. N.C. RSVP provides mileage reimbursement, accident & liability insurance, an invitation to our annual recognition event, monthly newsletters, orientation & training.
