Volunteer: Victim Impact Panel Speakers - DOCCR
Job Number
23DOCCRvolJR005
Description
Hennepin County's Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation is seeking a diverse group of volunteers to fulfill five Victim Impact Panel Speaking opportunities. Victim Impact Panel Volunteers are offered a restorative justice opportunity by allowing victims, and the families of impaired driving; the ability to speak about how the crime impacted them. This healing opportunity will help clients understand the impact of their choices and how to prevent recidivism.
In addition, previous clients no longer on probation may have the opportunity to speak about their offense and the impact it had on victim(s), families, and the community.
Alternatively, if a volunteer is unable to commit to speaking on a regularly basis, we encourage volunteers to instead share their story via a recorded video that would be used during scheduled Victim Impact Panels sessions for participants to learn from.
Please click hereto apply for this unpaid, volunteer opportunity.

Virtual: via Microsoft Teams
