Position Overview - Fundraiser/Grant Writing Coordinator for Cultural Non-Profit
The Grantmaking Coordinator will play a vital role in our grantmaking and fundraising activities. This position involves researching funding opportunities, preparing grant proposals, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong writing skills, attention to detail, and a passion for supporting our mission.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Research and identify potential funding sources.
- Prepare and submit grant proposals and applications.
- Maintain accurate records of grant applications and funding received.
- Monitor grant compliance and reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with ARCS staff to gather necessary information for grant proposals.
- Assist in developing and implementing grantmaking strategies.
- Assist with other fundraising activities
- Communicate with funders and stakeholders as needed.
PREFERRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in grant writing or a related field is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Proficiency in researching potential funding sources and understanding their requirements.
- Ability to analyze funding opportunities and align them with the organization’s goals.
- Understanding the needs and operations of nonprofit organizations.
Expectations: Willingness to commit to a six months to one year volunteer position. We are open to more time served and we also provide leadership opportunities.
Part time commitment (1-3 hrs per week)
