Develop Africa is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable SEO volunteer to optimize our website, www.developafrica.org, and boost our online visibility. If you have experience in SEO and are motivated to help an impactful nonprofit grow its digital presence, we would love to hear from you!

Position: SEO Specialist (Volunteer)
Location: Remote
Hours: Flexible, with a minimum commitment of 5-20 hours per month

Role Overview:
As an SEO Specialist, you’ll work closely with our team to enhance Develop Africa's website, driving more visitors and supporters to our platform. Your efforts will directly impact our mission of empowering students and teachers across Africa by increasing awareness and support through improved search engine rankings.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct keyword research to align with Develop Africa’s mission and target audience
  • Optimize on-page elements (meta titles, descriptions, headers, and content)
  • Improve website content, blog posts, and resources for SEO-friendliness
  • Analyze website traffic and performance metrics to track improvements
  • Make SEO recommendations for long-term strategy

Qualifications:

  • Experience in SEO, digital marketing, or web analytics
  • Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO platforms
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
  • Passion for nonprofit work and education-related initiatives is a plus!
