ORGANIZATION: Special Olympics Arizona

Special Olympics Arizona is one of the selected nonprofits for Sanderson Ford's Operation Santa Claus. OSC provides funding to our organization as well as toy donations that will be given to students at two selected SOAZ Unified Champion Schools!

Volunteers for these opportunities will collect food and toy donations, register donors for the OSC vehicle giveaway, and act as an advocate for Special Olympics Arizona. A volunteer shirt, all materials needed, and training will be provided by Operation Santa Claus and available at each of the locations upon arrival.

Description

Special Olympics Arizona’s (SOAZ) goal is to empower the over 180,000 Arizonans with intellectual disabilities to be healthy, productive, and respected members of society through SOAZ’s year-round sports training, competitions, and support programs.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be at least 8
  • Volunteers must be 14 or older to volunteer on their own. Those 8-13 years of age can register to volunteer but must have an adult(21+) volunteering with them (one adult for every 4 youth max). Under 8 are welcome to attend and cheer on the athletes
