Description of Volunteer Duties:
Checks in and out with the timekeeper - to receive and turn in volunteer identification.

Greet attendees as they check in at the front desk and enter through designated doors.
Download the Zeffy App to your smartphone, log in to the Chapter's account, and familiarize yourself with its interface. Visit www.zeffy.com for more information.
Use your phone's camera to scan the QR codes on tickets (whether on paper or digital devices), verifying their validity. Multiple attendants should be actively scanning tickets to maintain a smooth flow of check-ins.
Ensure that each individual has a unique ticket with a QR code, either on paper or a digital device. https://support.zeffy.com/checking-in-guests-the-day-of-your-event
Once the QR code is validated and confirmed unused, pass the attendee to the next attendant, who will place a wristband on their wrist. A wristband is required for building entry and re-entry.
Only one admissions attendant will handle cash and conduct credit card transactions using Square on an iPad. This designated cashier is responsible for maintaining accurate ticket sales records and securing cash and card payments. Other attendants will focus on scanning tickets and applying wristbands to guests.
Pay close attention to the type of ticket each attendee has, as early bird and premium ticket holders are allowed early entry, while general admission attendees are admitted later. The line for general admission starts outside, while early bird and premium ticket holders are checked in first.
Admissions attendants will work closely with ushers, door monitors, and security guards to ensure efficient guest flow and human traffic control throughout the event.
Remain at your assigned position at the front desk; do not leave it unattended. Arrange for a designated volunteer to cover your position for breaks or emergencies.
Provide guests with essential directions, including guidance on entering the auditorium, obtaining drinks (showing wristbands to door monitors), and locating restrooms.
Volunteer Meals (Saturday 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM): Food will be available for volunteers only in the breakroom. Volunteers cannot eat in the auditorium unless they have paid for a dinner ticket (seat). Non-alcoholic drinks are available for free to all volunteers throughout the event. Volunteers are responsible for feeding themselves. Volunteer meals are available for volunteers working an entire Saturday shift or multiple Saturday shifts.
