POSITION: Action Hour Volunteer(unpaid)
HOURS: 1 hour per week, 6-month commitment, fully remote
COMMITMENT: Volunteers must be available on Wednesdays 1-2 pm PST / 4-5 pm PST for Action Hour team meetings.
ABOUT TACT (TRANS ADVOCACY & CARE TEAM):
The Trans Advocacy & Care Team (TACT) is a trans-led nonprofit initiative on a mission to champion the wellbeing of transgender, nonbinary, and gender-diverse adults across the U.S. Through our free peer counseling, support groups, and resource navigation, we foster trans joy, community, and empowerment. VOLUNTEER POSITION OVERVIEW:
As an Action Hour Volunteer, you will spend 1 hour a week doing outreach as a team to spread the word about TACT events and direct services. This includes Instagram outreach, email outreach and researching organizations to add to our spreadsheets.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Commit to 1 hour a week.
- Send outreach emails via IG and/or email.
- Navigate Google Sheets comfortably.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required:
- Must be available on Wednesdays 1-2 pm PST / 4-5 pm EST for Action Hour team meetings.
- Stable internet.
- Familiarity with Google Sheets.
- Organized, reliable, and able to commit to at least 6 months (1 hour per week).
- Passionate about uplifting the trans community.
- 18 years of age or older.
Preferred:
- Experience working with marginalized communities.
- While not required, we strongly encourage trans and nonbinary people to apply.
