The mission statement for the Langston Hughes Elementary School Black Student Union (BSU) is to promote unity, empowerment, and excellence among Black students. We strive to create a safe and inclusive space for Black students to voice their opinions, share their experiences, and build strong relationships with one another. Through various educational, cultural, and social activities, we aim to celebrate the diversity within our community and foster a sense of pride in our heritage. Our goal is to uplift and support each other academically, socially, and emotionally, while also advocating for positive change within our school and community. We are committed to promoting leadership, resilience, and success among Black students at Langston Hughes Elementary School.
