Books to Kids is hosting an Art & Literacy Night event in partnership with Lumberg Elementary School. The event will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2024 4:00-6:00pm. We are looking for volunteers to welcome attendees and help run different activity stations.

Connecting children of historically underserved communities with high-quality, diverse literature and their creators.

Description

Books to Kids was founded in 2018 and serves children in the Denver-metro area and our vision is to cultivate a community where all children are excited about reading and feel inspired to become the next generation of creators. Our Author Visit program brings authors and illustrators to Title I schools. In addition to pairing authors and illustrators with schools, Books to Kids purchases books to give to students who attend the Author Visit. Our programming relies on the support of donors and volunteers.

Books to Kids is looking ahead to our 2025 Children's Festival of Stories (CFOS) and will be seeking out volunteers to support this event. Additional information about the 2025 CFOS will be coming soon!
