Mission Statement
Kabod House International is devoted to promoting gender equity and justice by empowering low-income women, girls, and families of color through the provision of free essential health and hygiene products, educational workshops, financial literacy, and skills empowerment programs. Our mission is to break down the stigma surrounding basic necessities and ensure access to vital resources, fostering health, hygiene, education, financial literacy, skills empowerment, and overall well-being for all, regardless of financial circumstances or racial background. Through our comprehensive efforts, we aim to empower individuals and communities, creating a world where everyone can thrive with dignity and equality.
Description
The goal of Kabod House International is to become a trailblazing organization that offers unique and needed services to women, girls, parents, and children in the Chicagoland/South Suburban Cook County area. Our programs include distributing new bras and underwear, as well as feminine hygiene products to women and girls living in poverty, as well as educating them on reproductive, maternal, and mental health. Every year, we provide Winter coats and toys for low-income, homeless, and foster-care children at a local elementary school partner. We also supply baby diapers and wipes for financially struggling parents.
