Limited health literacy is a prevalent, current, and global issue. According to the U.S. Department of Education, a staggering 88% of adults are considered to have below proficient health literacy skills. More than 35% would have difficulty understanding a complex condition, interpreting a prescription label, or following a child immunization schedule. We believe health literacy shouldn’t be a privilege. We are actively working to foster a world in which everyone has reliable and accessible health information at their fingertips. By collaborating with students passionate about sharing their interests in medicine, we advocate for an informed and empowered public and support students on their journeys in healthcare.
