Are you a web design enthusiast with a knack for improving online experiences? Our nonprofit is on a mission to make quality education more accessible in Africa and we need a skilled volunteer to help us refine and enhance our existing website.
Role Responsibilities:
- Edit and update our current website to improve user experience and visual appeal.
- Work closely with our team to understand content goals and align website updates with our mission.
- Enhance navigation, layout, and functionality for a user-friendly experience.
- Implement SEO best practices and optimize for mobile responsiveness.
- Integrate new features, such as donation buttons, volunteer sign-up forms, or event calendars, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience in web design and development
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript. Knowledge of web development frameworks is a plus.
- Understanding of SEO principles and best practices for website optimization.
- Strong eye for design and attention to detail, with an ability to create visually appealing and user-friendly layouts.
- Experience with mobile-responsive design.
- Familiarity with integrating third-party features (e.g., donation platforms, social media links, or event calendars).
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and communicate effectively.
- Passion for making a positive impact through nonprofit work is highly valued.
