About The Love Story
The Love Story is a nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming pain into creative expression through Artist-Inspired Expressive Writing workshops, mentorship, and publishing. Our programs, including the Mirror Darkly Expressive Writing Workshops, provide a supportive, reflective space for participants to process personal experiences and find empowerment through storytelling.
Position Overview
The Marketing Director will lead the strategy and implementation of The Love Story’s marketing efforts to increase awareness, engagement, and participation in our programs. This role involves overseeing content creation, social media, email marketing, and partnership development, ensuring our mission reaches a broader audience. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, passionate about mental health, storytelling, and community engagement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to promote The Love Story’s mission, programs, and impact.
- Manage and oversee content across all social media platforms, ensuring brand consistency and engagement.
- Create compelling email campaigns and newsletters to update supporters and engage new audiences.
- Collaborate with team members to design marketing materials, including graphics, blogs, videos, and event promotions.
- Identify and cultivate partnerships with like-minded organizations, influencers, and media outlets to amplify our reach.
- Analyze and report on marketing metrics, providing insights and recommendations to refine our strategies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in marketing, communications, or digital media, ideally in a nonprofit or community-oriented setting.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with a track record of creating successful marketing campaigns.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp), and design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Ability to work independently, lead a team of volunteers, and manage multiple projects.
- A passion for mental health advocacy, expressive writing, and creative community-building.
