ORGANIZATION: EMPOWERED BY EMPATHY INC

We are seeking a compassionate Volunteer Group Therapy Counselor to facilitate group therapy sessions for single parents of medically complex children. In this role, the counselor will primarily support the group by keeping discussions focused and on track, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for open sharing. The counselor will also offer gentle guidance and practical ideas for managing emotions, helping parents explore effective coping strategies.

This group serves as a judgment-free space for parents to connect with others who understand their unique challenges. The counselor’s presence is to foster open conversation, encourage shared experiences, and empower parents to navigate their journeys with resilience and empathy.

Empowered by Empathy is a newly founded nonprofit dedicated to uplifting single parents of medically complex children. Recognizing the unique challenges these parents face-balancing medical, emotional, and financial demands alone-we provide tailored support to meet them where they are. Our mission combines empathy with action, offering resources such as respite care, advocacy training, educational programs, and peer support to ease the daily burdens of raising medically complex children.

At Empowered by Empathy, we believe in the power of community and compassion. Though we are new, our commitment is unwavering: to create a space where empathy meets empowerment, ensuring that no single parent walks this journey alone.
