One of the primary drawbacks of a "decentralized tech conferences" formed and marketed by for profit entities is the inherent tension between commercial interests and the specific learning needs of nonimmigrant entrepreneurs. For-profit organizers and hosts, by their nature, can be more inclined to prioritize maximizing commercial metrics over accomplishing an educational purpose in compliance with defined law.

The term educational, as used in 26 CFR ยง 501(c)(3), relates to:

(a ) The instruction or training of the individual for the purpose of improving or developing his capabilities; or

(b ) The instruction of the public on subjects useful to the individual and beneficial to the community.

For example, a for-profit "decentralized tech conference" might be more inclined to include corporate sponsors with little relevance to the issues faced by nonimmigrant entrepreneurs. These sponsors often demand significant visibility, leading to an overload of "vendor" or "exhibitor" presentations that detract from the core educational objectives. By making "specialized information available to a select group of private individuals, a "decentralized tech conference" supported by a for profit entity is "serving the private interest of a select group of private members rather than serving a public interest as a 501(c)(3) organization is required to.

The primary purpose of an "Instruction OR Training (I-OR-T)" conference offered by MAIEUTICULARITY INC. is for developing and disseminating a body of new or "original" knowledge relating to basic research. "Instruction or training (I-OR-T)" is a cornerstone of human development, a catalyst for growth, and a vehicle for progress. The training event will offer a variety of lectures, workshops, and short courses on a broad range of fundamental research topics, led by various invited authorities and noted personalities in these fields who are strongly affiliated volunteers with MAIEUTICULARITY INC. and open to the general public as well as volunteer staff and executive trainees who wish to attend. The event cannot be used to promote the circulation of books of designated presenters nor can it include activities consisting of purchasing such works and making them available for public use.

Disclaimer: Various optional courses offered by MAIEUTICULARITY INC., a 501(c)(3) organization, do not constitute a curriculum. Such an optional, heterogeneous collection of courses is not formal instruction.
