ORGANIZATION: Chandler Nature Center

Do you have a passion for conservation and sustainability? Would you like hands-on experience and to learn about important conservation topics? Join Chandler's Park Steward Program alongside knowledgeable staff from the Nature Center, Urban Forestry and Water Conservation teams. Learn about water conservation, tree maintenance, and land management. In each session, Park Stewards will learn during a brief lecture on a chosen conservation topic and then carry out a hands-on volunteer project.

    Sunset Park - Meet inside Sunset Library for 1-hour class session followed by 2 hours of hands-on planting.

  • Must be at least 18
  • 1-3 hours per month
  • The location will change each month depending on the topic and project. Desire to work outdoors and get dirty. Could be on unpaved terrain. Please bring water, and wear lightweight clothing, sunscreen, a hat, and closed-toe shoes.
