Dear Volunteers,
We are thrilled to invite you to volunteer at the 2024 NYC Thanksgiving Day Parade, November 28 from 6 am to 12 pm. This year, we need passionate and energetic volunteers to assist with managing the reserved section for people with disabilities, senior citizens, and veterans.
If you’re comfortable in large crowds and enjoy giving direction to groups, we’d love to have you join!
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Manage the flow of large groups, ensuring the safety and smooth movement of guests within and around the reserved area.
- Stand at the entrances of the YAI section and make sure that only people with tickets to the YAI zone enter.
- Help ensure that people in wheelchairs are in the front of the reserved section.
Please carefully review the below details:
- Parade volunteers can expect to have to stand for the entirety of their volunteer shift.
- All volunteers are asked to dress appropriately for the weather. Dress in layers and bring outside wear for colder weather (gloves, scarves, hats, hand warmers, etc..) as you see fit.
- A light breakfast will be provided. However, it is still recommended you eat before your arrival.
- Restrooms will be limited and far from the volunteer section of the parade. Volunteers are asked to note the nearest restroom available to them upon their arrival.
We look forward to having you on our team and making this year’s Thanksgiving Day Parade a wonderful experience for everyone involved!
